Cafe World Sirius Sorbet

Cafe World has introduced another recipe called Sirius Sorbet. This new recipe, Sirius Sorbet has a 30 minute preparation time. The question is how does this recipe stack up with others.

Below are the details of Sirius Sorbet
Cost: 1300 coins
Servings: 175
Revenue: 8 coins per serving
Time: 0.5 Hours
CP: 19 Points (9 serving, 9 preparation, 1 cleaning stove)

Total Revenue: 1400 Coins
Profit/Hour: 200 Coins
CP/Hour: 38 Points
Analysis
In terms of coins this is appears to be lousy dish. 1400 -1300 returns only 100 dollars. ROI is extremely low.

However, in terms so CP/Hour it serves up an healthy 38 CP/HR and 200 coins per hour. In the category of dishes with a preparation/cooking time between 15 minutes to 60 minutes, it falls being the Fruit Salad, caviar, Buttermilk Pancakes and Jelly Jammin Donuts in CP/hour. In terms of Coins/hour it ties with the fruit salad and beats Caviar, Buttermilk Pancakes and Jelly Jammin Donut

Note CP=Cafe Points

Cafe World Wedding Cake Problems Persist

Cafeworld's Wedding Cake continues to be a source of heartache to many users. Users complain of the progress being set back, cakes missing, ingredients lost. Where it appears to hurt most is those who actually spent Cafe Cash(real money) to purchase ingredients etc. These are the persons who really Zynga should be taking could care off. You really do not want to lose your paying customers

Here are a few quotes from users, just in case you missed them
I was sick of trying to collect ingredients to finish the cake so I paid 25 Cafe Cash to complete. All good... until the next day when suddenly it was back at 22% and of course my Cafe Cash was still gone!!! - an
So now everyday I log in I'm back to the first tier of baking, this is ridiculous I used cafe cash to purchase some of the ingredients, the least they could do is address and post status on the return of the illlusive cake!
There are many more and can be found in the comments sections of the articles listed at the end of this post.

Zynga has posted dated April 7, 2010

We are aware of an issue with Wedding Cakes not saving progress correctly.

We suggest that you refrain from purchasing the missing parts of your Wedding Cake while we work out this issue. Your Wedding Cake will not expire, and you will have the chance to complete is as soon as this issue has been resolved.
In summary do not buy anything for the Wedding Cake using Cafe Cash until, they have advised that the problems is resolved. The wedding appears to have been postponed until they have completed their investigation and theissues can be resolved

Are you still having problems with your wedding cake? Post your feedback and let us know

Cafe World Vegas Buffet

Cafe World has introduced a new dish to coincide with there new Vegas Theme. There are new decorations, chairs, table, wall to go along with this new dish. So if you are into the gaming scene, which I am not, you have check it out.

The dish itself is a 9 hour dish and the details are shown below.
Below are the details of Vegas Buffet
Cost: 1000 Coins
Servings: 550
Revenue: 5 coins per serving
Time: 9 Hours
CP: 250 Points (195 serving, 54 preparation, 1 cleaning stove)

Total Revenue: 2750
CoinsProfit/Hour: 27.78
CoinsCP/Hour: 192.8 Points
Analysis
This is a decent 9 hour dish. It is actually much better than Bacon and Eggs and formerly available Star Dust Stew. However, Mystical Pizza, a 11 hour dish, compared to Vegas buffet, offers more coins per hour, 290 to 193, and more points per hour, 30 to 28. Therefore because Vegas Buffet is so close in time to the Mystical Pizza in the 9-12 hour category of dishes, and the significantly more coins per hour, we would have to give Mystical Pizza the edge.

Cafe World going Outdoors

The construction sign seems to say it all. Cafe World is going outdoors. This is an very interesting move. Is it a drive-through or is it and outdoor sidewalk cafe.

How it will be implemented will be of interest to chefs.

Will there be two different sets of stoves needed?
Will there be two different sets of counters needed?

Cafe World Tom Yum Goong is back

Tom Yum Goong the dish that caused an uproar in Cafe World because access to it depended on being a certain level in Zynga's Mafia Wars is back. Many Chefs, especially parents, apparently were upset about in cross promotion of Mafia Wars and the further requirements that in order to have this dish you had to play Mafia Wars and be a certain level.

A huge cry went out to Zynga and the dish was removed. Well it now appears the dish is back and available at Level 24 up from level 4 orginally. I captured some comments from a forum before the thread was apparently deleted. The comments were generally against the cross promotion with a some not seeing it as a bother while some thinking it was a good thing. I think Zynga got the point and the dish was removed, conditions changed and returned.
Below are the details of Tom Yum Goong
Cost: 2400
Servings: 3000
Revenue: 5 coins per serving
Time: 96 Hours
CP: 573 Points (72 serving, 500 preparation, 1 cleaning stove)

Total Revenue: 15,000 Coins
Profit/Hour: 131.1 Coins
CP/Hour: 5.97 Points
Analysis
This is a pretty lousy dish. It could be argued that for a four day dish it is worth it. It matters not to me as I will neither be cooking it or eating it.
